Price

If you live more than 30 kilometers away form Montreal and Expedibus services are available in your locality, we will plan the shipping through bus.  Our fish are carefully bagged and delievered in most main cities in Quebec, fallowing the price range below :

Price for 1st box Delivery in Québec, by bus (about 6 at 8 bags per box) Add 15$ by extra box up to 200 km from Montreal 35.00$ 200-400 km from Montreal 43.00$ >400 km from Montreal 50.00$

Of course, the bigger your order is, the more rentable is your shipping fee.  Why not place a bigger common order with some friends and save?

The number of fish per bag depends on numerous factors :  Size of fish, level of aggressivity, rarety of fish, etc…)  When you place your order, we will indicate how many bags will be necessary.

If we use train or fly shipment, add 25$ extra handled fees. If your order is higher than 500$, no handled fees to add. If the order needs some hot packs in the box (in winter, per example) please add 4$ per heat pack.

HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER

(1) Order :

The easiest and fasters way to order is to do so via email (info@quebec-cichlides.com).  You can also call and place your order at 450-492-3268.  Leave us the complete list of what you need, the shipping method desired (pick up, door delivery, bus, train, plain) and a phone number where you can be reached.  We will then get in touch with you as fast as possible.

(1.a) Minimumn purchase : as mentionned before, we do not have a minimum purchase requirement.  However, it could be intersting to spread the delivery cost over a bigger shipment.

(2) Pay the order

We do accept credit cards ans money order. To fix how to pay, call us. On the other hand, if you come to the store, we take cash, credit and debit cards.

(3) Reservations

The items officially ordered will be reserved for you.   Should you delay before you pick them up or ask us to ship them, we will notify you before be put them back for sale.

(4) Substitution

We will never substitute any fish without your consent.

(5) Delivery date

We ship the fish once a week.  We will let you know the day, the time and the place of arrival of your parcels.  We try our best to ship on a day that will accomodate most of our clients of each given week.

(6) Live animal shipping

We understand that you can be a little worried at first about ordering live fish.  You wonder if they will arrive alive and healthy?  We can assure you of all the professionalism, care and expertise needed to send them in the most optimal conditions to prevent any deaths or sicknesses. 

 This being said, it is extremely rare that fish die during transport.  If you are still worried, we can provide you with a number a references of clients who regularly order at Québec Cichlidés.  They will tell you about the efficiency with witch we proceed. Should an accident occure, we will credit any fish dead on arrival or in the 3 hours following the hour of delivery, under proof that they were picked up within the prescripted delays.

(7) Pick-up at your end.

If you are not familiar with receiving live fish, please read the following notice.

If we ship by pain, you are responsable to pick up the fish at the airport within 3 hours of the arrival time of the plane.

If we ship by train or bus, you are responsable of picking up your parcels at the terminus as soon as possible after the arrival time of the train or the bus. We are not responsaible for the conditions in wich the boxes are stored at the terminal.  If the weather is really cold or really hot, it is important to pick up the boxes as soon as they arrive.

Fish should be introduced only in tanks that have their cycle completed.

It is highly recommended to throw away the water that is in the shipping bags.  You need to acclimate your fish following the prescribed rules.
